PWCAC DST Celebrates Local Artists, Authors and Musicians!
A free family-friend event to encourage literacy and exposure to the arts.
You are invited to the 6th Annual Red Carpet Showcase Featuring Emerging Artists, Authors and Musicians being hosted this Saturday, December 5th, by the Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The free event will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Prince William Association of Realtors Building, located at 4545 Daisy Reid Avenue in Woodbridge.
The Showcase will include a Meet and Greet with participants, a formal program and a reception. This year’s participants include a dancer, photographer, calligrapher, singer, several authors - whose genres include fiction, inspirational writing and blogging about breast cancer survival - as well as four youth participants who will each share an original work.
In addition, our featured guest this year is April Ryan, who has been a White House correspondent for over 18 years and has written a book, The Presidency in Black and White, about her experience as a journalist during the presidencies of Clinton, G.W. Bush and Obama. Ms. Ryan has also been featured on The Tom Joyner Show, MSNBC and CSPAN.
