Residents Bound, 1 Shot During Woodbridge Home Invasion: Police

A man was bound and shot during a home invasion in Woodbridge on Friday afternoon. Investigators are still looking for suspects.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two residents were bound by four burglars in Woodbridge on Friday afternoon, the Prince William County Police Department said. One resident was shot and the other was hit in the head, police said.

One victim, a 22-year-old man, suffered gunshot wounds to the lower body. A helicopter flew him to the hospital; he is expected to survive, authorities said. The other victim, a 20-year-old man, received treatment from first responders for minor injuries to his head.

The police department has not identified any suspects in connection with the home invasion. All four suspects were wearing ski masks and dark clothing. One suspect was a Black man who is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Another suspect was a white man who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall with 200 pounds and bushy eyebrows.

Police responded to the home in the 14800 block of Dillon Avenue in Woodbridge around 2 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the two victims suffering from their injuries.

Investigators determined that the four burglars forced their way into the home by identifying themselves as police officers. They then tied up the two victims, shot one, assaulted the other, took a pair of shoes, and left the home.

Authorities believe the home invasion was not random.
