Robbers Armed With Bug Spray And 'Electroshock Weapon' Stole From Woodbridge Target: Cops

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two women stole shopping carts full of merchandise from a Woodbridge Target on Monday evening, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said the women were armed with a can of bug spray and an "electroshock weapon."

The incident occured around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27. At that time, a caller reported a robbery at the Target on Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.

Loss prevention staff at the Target told police that they saw two women in the store with shopping carts full of merchandise. An employee intervened with the women as they approached the front of the store, according to the police report.

During the encounter, one of the women attempted to spray the employee with a can of bug spray, police claimed. However, she was unable to remove the cap as she continued towards the store's exit.

When the loss prevention employee attempted to grab the other cart full of merchandise, the second woman pulled out an "electroshock weapon" and turned it on, police said. The employee backed away from the women.

The two women then left the store and were seen entering a black SUV with the merchandise and fleeing the area. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

The suspects are both described as Black women. One was wearing a brown jacket, black pants with a "Polo" logo, and a black ski mask. The other woman wore a purple jacket and gray leggings, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
