10-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted At Woodbridge Dollar Store: Police
A man was arrested after he was accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl at a Woodbridge Dollar Store on Monday, Sept. 20.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a Woodbridge Dollar Store on Monday, Sept. 20, according to the Prince William County Police Department. A man was arrested after he was accused of inappropriately touching the girl.
Authorities identified the man as Jose Antonio Romo, a Stafford resident. Romo was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 21 after an investigation.
The incident was first reported to the police department around 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20. Authorities said the assault occurred earlier in the day on Monday.

Officers determined that the victim, who police identified only as a 10-year-old girl, was shopping at the Dollar Store in Daniel Stuart Square when she was approached by an unknown man.

The victim reported the assault to a family member later in the day. The family member contacted police, prompting the investigation. No injuries were reported in the incident, authorities said.
During their investigation, officers identified Romo as the man involved in the assault. He was arrested on Tuesday.

Romo is charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery. His court date is pending, and he is currently being held without bond.
