Sexual Assault Of Teen Reported At Neabsco Boardwalk: Police

Authorities are looking for a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at the Neabsco Boardwalk on Wednesday evening.

WOODBRIDGE, VA โ€” A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on the Neabsco Boardwalk on Wednesday, according to a report from the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities have not been able to identify a suspect.

The assault occurred around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10, police said. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, said she was walking along the boardwalk between Blackburn Road and Neabsco Road when an unknown man approached her from behind.

"During the encounter, the man pushed the victim to the ground and got on top of her," the police department said in their report. "The man then inappropriately touched the victim over her clothing before fleeing on foot."

After the assault, the victim left the area and informed an acquaintance about what happened. Officers checked the area that evening, but they were unable to locate a suspect. The victim was not injured in the assualt, police said.

The suspect is described as a man of unknown race, between 20 and 40 years old. He was approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and had a medium or thick build. He also had a medium-length build, police said.

At the time of the assault, the suspect was wearing a tan jacket with a fur liner and large buttons on the front.
