Shooting Death Ruled Suicide In Woodbridge: Police
A double-shooting June 12 at a Quality Inn in Woodbridge now has left a New York man dead in what's being called a suicide: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man involved in a double-shooting June 12 at the Quality Inn, 1109 Horner Road, has died in what's being classified as a suicide, according to Prince William County Police. James Edward Bishop, 55, of New York, was deemed to have taken his own life after an autopsy was conducted Monday.
An investigation found that Bishop shot a female victim in the head during an argument and then fatally shot himself. The woman, identified as a New York resident, 54, has been released from the hospital and is expected to recover.

Shortly before 9 a.m., motel employees reported to police that a female guest walked into the lobby with a gunshot wound. Before being taken to an area hospital, she said she had been involved in an altercation in one of the rooms. Officers secured the hallway and evacuated nearby guests.
Officers made several attempts to make contact with the man inside the room to no avail. Around 11:30 a.m., a tactical team entered the room and found he had been shot. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
A handgun was recovered inside the room.
