Shooting Reported On Yosocomico Lane In Woodbridge: Police

One man has been hospitalized after a shooting on Yosocomico Lane in Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities are on the scene of a shooting in the 2700 block of Yosocomico Lane in Woodbridge, the Prince William County Police Department said on Friday afternoon. At least one person was injured.

Details are limited as officers begin their investigation. However, the police department did announce that one person, an adult male, was taken to a nearby hospital.

The police department have not announced if any suspects have been identified or apprehended in connection with the shooting.

Authorities noted that residents can expect an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues

This is the second shooting this year in the 2700 block of Yosocomico Lane. In June, a 9-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet fired near a playground in the area. Authorities later determined that two groups of people exchanged gunfire before fleeing on foot and in cars.
