WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities are looking for three suspects after a shooting in Woodbridge on Wednesday night.

The victim in the shooting, a 26-year-old man, was flown to an area hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening, the Prince William County Police Department said.

Investigators have obtained warrants for three people in connection with the shooting. Police officers have not been able to locate the suspects.

Emmanuel Boateng of Stafford is wanted for malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday at the Potomac Ridge Apartments in Woodbridge, according to the police report. Authorities said the victim was in an apartment with Boateng and Owusu Jr. when an argument broke out. The argument continued in the parking lot.

Once outside, Boateng grabbed a gun and fired multiple shots, the police department said. One of the bullets ricocheted and hit the victim in the lower body, according to authorities.

Boateng and Owusu Jr. left the parking lot in a vehicle that Jackson was driving, investigators claimed.

Police officers arrived and provided first aid to the victim before a helicopter arrived.
