Virginia gave wins to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, but what about Prince William County?

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Super Tuesday results offered big wins for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, each winning seven states, including Virginia.

In Woodbridge, voters offered similar results to what we saw statewide, with one notable exception: Marco Rubio pulled ahead in the GOP race.

It was likely the clearest example of Rubio’s struggle in the state: He pulled out a narrow win against Trump in Prince William County, 33.48 percent to 33.07 percent.
But Trumps lead in the rest of the state was far greater, giving him a clear win.

- Donald Trump 34.82%

Prince William County
- Marco Rubio, 33.48%
- Ben Carson 5.56%
- Ted Cruz 17.12%
- Donald Trump 33.07%
- John Kasich 9.33%
Democrats
Among Democratic primary voters, the local race closely mirrored the results statewide, with a clear win for Clinton.
More than the state totals, the finish in Prince William County may be more reflective of the struggles Bernie Sanders will face in swing states as the primary season moves forward.
