WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities are still looking for the man responsible for a Jan. 18 stabbing in Woodbridge. The Prince William County Police Department identified a suspect this week, but officers have not located him.

The victim in last month's stabbing, a 22-year-old man, was flown to a hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

On Friday, the police department identified the suspect as 25-year-old Walter Elester Cartagena Andrade. Cartagena Andrade is charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding.

Authorities said the stabbing occurred around 8 a.m. on Jan. 18 in the 13900 block of Richmond Highway in Woodbridge. Investigators believe an argument between the victim and Cartagena Andrade escalated, which led to the stabbing.

Cartagena Andrade left the area before police officers arrived, according to the police report. A helicopter and a police K-9 searched for him, but they were unsuccessful.
