Suspect Identified In String Of Commercial Burglaries: Police

The Prince William County Police Department identified a suspect in connection with a series of burglaries in Woodbridge.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A suspect has been identified in connection with nine burglaries and attempted burglaries on Aug. 2 in Woodbridge and Dale City, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Police are looking for Davian McKinnie, an 18-year-old Woodbridge resident.

McKinnie was first identified as a suspect by the police department's Property Crimes Unit on Thursday, Aug. 12. Authorities have been unable to locate him, and they are now asking if members of the public might know where he is.

Authorities are still attempting to identify a second suspect involved in the robberies, the police department said.

The burglaries and attempted break-ins occurred between 5:30 a.m. at businesses around Dumfries, Dale City, and Woodbridge. Though no entry was made into some of the businesses, at least two of the stores noted missing items.

The owner of the World Nails & Day Spa in Cheshire Station told officers that two men broke into the building around 7 a.m., according to a report from the police department. The burglars "forcibly entered the business through a rear door and removed the ATM containing an undisclosed amount of money," the police department wrote in their report.

Later in the day, a series of similar burglaries were reported to authorities at Lake Montclair Center in Dumfries. The Framing Outlet at the shopping center reported some missing property, police said.

Now, authorities have identified one of the two people who may be involved in the burglaries. Authorities identified Davian McKinnie as a suspect on Aug. 12, but they have been unable to locate him.

McKinie is described as a white man who is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos.
