Burglars Targeted 7 Businesses In Dumfries, Woodbridge: Police
Burglars attempted to break in to several businesses in Dumfries and Woodbridge on Monday morning. 2 businesses reported missing items.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A pair of burglars attempted to break in to a total of 7 businesses around Dumfries and Woodbridge on Monday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The burglars stole goods from two of the businesses, police said.
The first burglaries were reported to authorities at 8:35 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 2. The owner of the World Nails & Day Spa in Cheshire Station told officers that two men broke into the building around 7 a.m., according to a report from the police department.
The burglars "forcibly entered the business through a rear door and removed the ATM containing an undisclosed amount of money," the police department wrote in their report.

Officer began to canvass the area when they noticed the nearby GNC store had sustained damage. The police department said the damage was caused by an attempted burglary, though no entry was made into the store and no property was reported missing.
Later on Monday, a series of similar burglaries at Lake Montclair Center were reported to authorities. During their investigation, officers determined that the burglars matched the description of the suspects from the Cheshire Station break-ins.

At Lake Montclair Center, a total of five businesses were victims of burglaries or attempted burglaries, according to the police department. Animated Child Day Care, Subway, Vivian’s Nail Salon, the Framing Outlet, and the Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts studio all reported break-in attempts. In each instance, the burglars tried to gain entry through back doors, police said.
"Miscellaneous property was reported missing from the Framing Outlet while no property was reported missing from the Tae Kwon Do studio," the police department said. "No entry is believed to have been made into the Subway or Vivian’s Nail Spa."
