Suspects Arrested For Gang-Related Murder in Dumfries: Police

Three suspects were arrested Wednesday in Pennsylvania; two in the Baltimore area Feb. 12, according to Prince William County Police.

DUMFRIES, VA — Three wanted suspects were found in Pennsylvania and arrested Wednesday for a gang-related murder in which Christian Alexander Soso Rivas's body was found Jan. 12 along the Potomac River in the 1500 block of Cherry Hill Road, according to Prince William County Police.

  • Edgar Oswaldo Blanco Torres, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit a felony.
  • Jose Martir Larios Espenal, 20, of no fixed address, was charged with murder.
  • A 17-year-old juvenile of no fixed address was charged with murder.

Arrested Feb. 12 in the Baltimore area:

  • Angelica Maria Blanco, 19, of no fixed address, was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
  • Keyri Sujey Portillo Gonzalez, 18, of no fixed address, was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police believe several of the people arrested are members of the street gang Mara Salvatrucha, or MS13.

The body appeared to have suffered trauma, according to police. Further examination of the body by the Medical Examiner's Office and further investigation led police to classify the death as a homicide.
