WOODBRIDGE, VA — Suspects shot a man in Woodbridge during an attempted robbery on Saturday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Authorities said the robbery attempt does not appear to be random.
The victim, who police identified as a 24-year-old man, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The police department has not publicly identified any suspects in the shooting. Officials have not released any suspect description. Authorities said the robbers drove away in a silver sedan after the shooting.

The shooting occurred around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday in the 3700 block of Wigan Drive in Woodbridge. The victim was getting into his car when three men approached him, according to the police report. The men tried to rob the victim before they fired several gunshots.
The three men drove away in a silver sedan before police officers arrived, authorities said. The victim walked to a nearby home where officers found him and administered first aid before an ambulance arrived.
