Twice In 2 Days Deputy Finds Drivers From Woodbridge Asleep At Wheel
For the second time in two days, a Stafford County deputy found a Woodbridge driver asleep at the wheel of a vehicle, according to reports.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — For the second time in two days, a Stafford County sheriff's deputy found an inebriated driver from Woodbridge asleep at the wheel of his vehicle, according to authorities.
Shortly after 10 p.m on Friday, a sheriff's deputy responded to the Sheetz at 10 Washington Square Place Plaza in Fredericksburg to investigate the report of an accident.
The deputy determined that a pickup truck had backed into another vehicle and the truck's driver appeared to be asleep at the wheel, according to the incident report. The truck was also still running in reverse.

Once the deputy woke the driver, the man seemed to be disoriented, according to the report. He also had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. After administering field sobriety tests, the deputy arrested the driver, who was identified as Jaleel Moorehead, 32, of Woodbridge.

Moorehead was charged with driving while intoxicated: third offense within 10 years, according to the sheriff's office. He was then taken to the Rappahanock Regoional Jail, where he was held without bail.
This was the second time in as many days that a Stafford County deputy had found a Woodbridge man under the influence and asleep at the wheel, according to reports.
On Thursday might, 45-year-old Leonard Rouse of Woodbridge was found asleep at the wheel of a disabled vehicle in Stafford County. He was cited for driving under the influence, according to authorities.
On Tuesday, Moorehead was arraigned in Stafford General District Court and had a bond hearing on Wednesday morning, according to court records. As of 2:30 p.m., he remained in custody. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 26.
The DWI: third offense within 10 years charge is a Class 6 felony. If convicted, Moorehead faces a potential sentence of one to five years in prison or 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $2,500, under the Code of Virginia.
