Two Downed Utility Poles Cause Power Outage: Media Reports
Traffic lights affected; power was expected to be restored Monday afternoon, said Dominion Virginia Power.

An automobile collision that damaged two utility poles in Dumfries early Monday knocked out power in part of Prince William County, according to media reports.
About 2,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers were without service in Prince William, radio station WTOP reported.

Dominion said it hoped to restore power by Monday afternoon. The outage affected traffic lights, WTOP reported.
The Prince William County police said that Graham Park Road between Olde Port Lane and Woodlawn Drive would be closed for about four to six hours Monday due to a downed pole. Motorists were urged to use caution and follow police directions, the police department said on its Facebook page.

A Dominion spokesman told WTOP that the car accident on Graham Park Road caused the outage around 2:30 a.m. The collision damaged two poles so badly that they needed to be replaced.
The outage, at one point, involved 4,000 customers in Fairfax County, according to media reports.
