Unruly Drunk Man Assaults Cops In Woodbridge: Police

An unruly drunk man who assaulted officers had to be pepper sprayed before being arrested Tuesday in Woodbridge: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—An unruly drunk man who assaulted officers had to be pepper sprayed before being arrested Tuesday night in the area of Princedale Drive and Roundtree Drive, according to Prince William County Police.

Christopher Steven Weber, 30, of the 12800 block of Island House Loop in Woodbridge, was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of intoxication in public and one count of obstruction of justice.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police went to the aforementioned area for a reported suspicious person. When they arrived, they found Weber and determined he was intoxicated. Police tried to detain him but he grabbed officers and shoved them, after which they broke out the pepper spray.

That did the trick. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries and then taken to jail. The officers also suffered minor injuries.
