Update: Woodbridge Rape Suspect Turns Himself In: Police

Authorities said a 33-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a sleeping woman at a Woodbridge party turned himself in on Monday.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A wanted man accused of raping a sleeping woman at a Woodbridge party earlier this month turned himself in on Monday, the Prince William County Police Department said.

The man, 33-year-old Alphonso Page, is charged with one count of rape. His court date is pending and he is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.

If convicted, Page could face a life sentence, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The incident occurred on March 18 at the Potomac Vista apartments in Woodbridge. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, fell asleep at the apartment after a gathering, authorities said.

She woke up to an unknown man sexually assaulting her, according to the police report. Authorities were originally unable to locate Page before he turned himself in on Monday.
