Vehicle Description Released In Fatal Triangle Hit & Run: Police

Authorities have released a description of the vehicle that hit and killed a 60-year-old pedestrian in Triangle in September.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Authorities have released the description of a vehicle accused of hitting a pedestrian in Triangle in September. The pedestrian, who was later identified as William Francis Fisher, died as a result of his injuries, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The vehicle that hit Fisher is described as a red Lexus sedan, police announced on Wednesday. Authorities also noted that the vehicle would have had extensive front-end damage, including a possibly broken windshield.

"The front bumper, fender area, and or the undercarriage of the vehicle may also be damaged due to missing parts found at the scene," the police department said in an update. "The suspect vehicle is believed to one of the following models: 2006-2015 Lexus IS, 2008-2013 Lexus IS-F, 2006-2012 or 2017-2020 Lexus GS, or a 2010-2020 Lexus LS."

After their initial investigation, officers determined that Fisher was walking in a dimly-lit section of the roadway on Inn Street in Triangle. Fisher fell to the ground in the eastbound lane of the road, according to the police report.

Another motorist found him and contacted police. Fisher was flown to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his life-threatening injuries. He later died of his injuries, police said.
