Victim Pushed Down, Kicked During Robbery In Dumfries: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man from Dumfries told police that he was assulted and robbed by two acquiantances on Thursday evening, the police department said on Friday. One man has been arrested, and police have issued an arrest warrant for a second man.

The robbery occurred around 8 p.m. on Thursday in the 15000 block of Bridgeport Drive in Dumfries, according to a police report. The victim, a 26-year-old man, told authorities that he was outside of a residence in the area when two acquaintances approached him and pushed him to the ground.

"While on the ground, the men struck and kicked the victim before taking his wallet," the police department wrote in a report. "Eventually, the men fled the area in a vehicle and the victim contacted the police."

The victim reported minor injuries. During the investigation, authorities were able to identify both suspects, according to the report.

One of the suspect, Vincent Michael Soto of Stafford, was arrested on Thursday night. He is charged with one county of robbery and his court date is pending.

Authorities have been unable to locate the second suspect, who they identified as Harold Robert Hawkes III, a 29-year-old Woodbridge resident.

Hawkes is described as a white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds, police said.
