WOODBRIDGE, VA — Authorities are looking for a man who threw a cat out of a window twice in Woodbridge last week.

The cat died as a result of its injuries, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

The police department said Sadoff is about 6 feet, 2 inches and weighs 190 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Around 5 p.m. on Feb. 10, police officers started to investigate an assault at the Bayvue Apartments in Woodbridge. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, told police officers that she had an argument with Sadoff earlier in the day before she left her apartment.

When she returned, the victim said she saw her cat injured on the floor, according to the police report. She picked up the cat, but Sadoff pulled the cat out of her hands and threw it out the window, authorities said.

The victim brought the cat back to the apartment, and Sadoff threw it out of the window a second time, according to the police department.

When the victim went to pick up her cat a second time, Sadoff followed her, authorities said. He grabbed her neck from behind before a bystander intervened. Sadoff tried to grab the bystander's neck before leaving the area, according to the police report.

When animal control officers arrived on the scene, they found that the cat had died. They took it to a state lab to determine a cause of death.

The victim and the bystander were not injured, police said.
