Woman Fatally Shot In Woodbridge, $5K Reward Offered: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman was fatally shot in Woodbridge on Thursday morning, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Now, authorities are offering $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect.

Investigators identified the victim as 51-year-old Patricia Kathlean Beglin.

Detectives have identified the suspect as 37-year-old Karen Nicole Pollard. Pollard is wanted on charges of murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Authorities have not been able to locate Pollard. Investigators said she is a Black woman who is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said the shooting occurred just before 8 a.m. on Thursday in the woods near the 1200 block of Easy Street. Detectives believe Pollard and Beglin knew each other, and the shooting occurred due to an argument over fentanyl pills.

When police officers arrived at the scene of the shooting on Thursday, they found Beglin suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
