WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman was injured in a shooting outside the Woodbridge Station apartments on Sunday, the Prince William County Police Department said. Investigators believe the shooting occurred after an argument between two groups.

The woman, who police identified as a 28-year-old, received treatment at an area hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday on Kitty Hawk Way in Woodbridge. Investigators said two groups of people had an argument and multiple gunshots were fired. After the shooting, most of the people ran away from the scene while some drove away in a white car, the police department reported.

Responding officers said they saw the car and tried to stop, but the driver ignored their lights and sirens. The driver eventually stopped along Cove Landing Drive and the people in the car ran away, authorities said.

One person from the car, 19-year-old Alhajie Alpha Kamara, was arrested by police officers. He was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and one count of obstruction of justice.

Police officers could not find the other people who were in the car with Kamara.

Authorities noted that gunfire struck two apartments near Kitty Hawk Way, and investigators found cartridge casings on nearby Ranger Loop.
