Woodbridge Barricade Situation Leads To Charges For Alexandria Man: Police
An Alexandria man was arrested on Wednesday after he broke into a Woodbridge home and locked himself inside, authorities said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — An Alexandria man broke into a home in Dale City on Wednesday and locked himself inside, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
A resident of the home suffered minor injuries when the suspect forced his way in through the front door, authorities said.
The police department identified the suspect as 35-year-old Irving Charles Honesty. He is charged with burglary, felony destruction of property, obstruction of justice, destruction of property, and assault & battery.

Honesty is being held at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. His court date is pending. If convicted of all charges, Honesty could face up to 27 years in prison.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 14700 block of Barksdale Street. Investigators learned that Honesty was at the home earlier in the day, and the residents asked him to leave. He returned in the afternoon and tried to kick the front door and climb in through a window, according to the police report.

One resident called the police, but Honesty ran away.
He returned again later in the afternoon, the police department said. This time, Honesty pushed into the home as another person was walking through the front door. He caused the door to hit a 36-year-old woman, causing minor injuries, authorities said.
The occupants left the home as police arrived, and Honesty locked himself inside. Investigators said Honesty damaged property inside the home.
Honesty eventually walked out of the home and officers took him into custody.
