Masked Man Robs Woodbridge Convenience Store Twice In 3 Days

A Woodbridge convenience store was robbed Wednesday, two days after a masked man robbed the same store.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A convenience store at a Sunoco gas station in Woodbridge was robbed Wednesday, the second time in three days Prince William County police have been called to the store to investigate a robbery. As with the robbery of the convenience store Monday, no one was injured in the latest incident.

At 5:33 p.m. Wednesday, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to a call from the Sunoco at 3220 Old Bridge Rd. An employee reported to police that an unknown masked man entered the store and approached the counter. During the incident, the suspect demanded money from the cash register before fleeing on foot in the direction of Ridge View Court. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

The suspect is described as a white male, about six-feet tall, weighing 210 pounds, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

In Monday's robbery, the suspect is described as a white male, about 35-years-old, six-feet tall and about 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black knit cap, dark face mask, white framed sunglasses, grey hooded sweatshirt, flannel type of jacket, gloves, blue jeans and dark shoes.

"At this time, we believe the incidents are related," a Prince William County police spokeswoman said Thursday in an email to Patch.

In its crime report, the police department described Monday's incident at the Sunoco convenience store as an armed robbery because the suspect implied he was armed and demanded money. For Wednesday's incident, the suspect did not brandish a gun or imply he was armed.

Neither robbery happened late at night. Monday's occurred around 2:30 p.m. while Wednesday's happened just after sunset.
