Woodbridge House Fire Displaces 2: Authorities
Firefighters extinguished a fire that had spread to a house's deck and attic in Woodbridge on Thursday. No injuries were reported.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A house caught fire in Woodbridge on Thursday afternoon, the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue said.
No injuries were reported in the blaze. The fire displaced two residents; the American Red Cross is assisting them.
The house sustained extensive damage in the fire. Prince William County's building official deemed the home unsafe to occupy.

Authorities have not announced what could have sparked the fire.
Around 4 p.m. on Thursday, firefighters were called to the 4400 block of Kentland Drive for a reported house fire. When crews arrived, they saw heavy fire conditions at the back of the home that were spreading to the attic, authorities said in a report.

First responders were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
The homeowner told fire department officials they discovered the fire on the deck after smelling smoke. The fire marshal's office confirmed that the fire started on the deck, but investigators have not said what caused the fire.
