Woodbridge Man Strikes Vehicles With Skateboard, Tool: Police

A Woodbridge man was charged with destruction of property after striking several vehicles with a skateboard and gardening tool.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man was charged with brandishing a firearm and destruction of property after striking several vehicles in the neighborhood with his skateboard and a gardening tool, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

At around 1:20 p.m. Saturday, police officers went to the 2400 block of Neabsco Creek Court in Woodbridge to investigate the incident. The officers learned that a man had struck a vehicle in the area with a skateboard before being confronted by the owner of the vehicle. The suspect returned to his home and retrieved a firearm, according to the police.

While the vehicle owner, a 40-year-old man, was outside, the suspect confronted him before brandishing the firearm. The victim went into his home and contacted the police.

At some point, the suspect obtained a gardening tool and began to strike other unoccupied vehicles in the area.

Upon arrival, officers confronted the suspect and took him into custody without incident. No injuries were reported. No shots were fired during the incident.

The accused, identified as Aaron Christopher Martin, 26, was arrested on Saturday. He was charged with one count of brandishing, three counts of destruction of property and one count of disorderly conduct. Martin, whose court date has been set for Dec. 8, is being held in jail without bond, the police said.
