Adopt from the Prince William County Animal Shelter

When you’re ready to open your heart and home to a new best friend, adopt from our Animal Shelter. Shelter staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect pet for you and your lifestyle. Remember that older animals make excellent pets, too!

Spay or neuter your pet

One way to combat pet overpopulation is to have your pet spayed or neutered, thus preventing the possibility of unexpected, and potentially unwanted, puppies or kittens. Spayed and neutered animals have been shown to lead longer, healthier lives and have fewer behavioral problems than animals that have not been spayed or neutered.

Microchip your pet

A microchip for your pet will reduce the possibility that your pet will become one of the “homeless” animals that end up at the shelter. Make sure your pet is one of the fortunate ones reunited with their owners by outfitting your pet with a microchip.

Support the Prince William County Animal Shelter

Show the pets at the shelter that you care by donating time, money or supplies like pet food, leashes, beds and toys. Even the smallest effort can make a difference.
