Woodbridge Woman Dies, Three Injured When Car Hits Tree: Police
The fatality was a result of a single-vehicle crash near the Franconia area of Fairfax County, according to police.
FRANCONIA, VA — A Woodbridge woman died and three passengers were injured when a car struck a tree in the Franconia area of Fairfax County Saturday afternoon, police said.
Around 5:50 p.m., police responded to the single car crash at Telegraph Road and Beulah Street. Investigations determined the driver was heading north on Telegraph Road, lost control of the 2000 Dodge Neon and hit a tree in the median.
The driver, Lauren Roucka, 27, of Woodbridge, was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Three adult passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
