• Felons arrested, traffic stop leads to drug and firearm seizure (thedailyworld.com) — Aberdeen police arrested two convicted felons after a speeding stop on South Boone Street led to the discovery of firearms, body armor, and about 72 grams of cocaine. Both men, from Sumner and Auburn, were booked into Aberdeen City Jail on firearm and drug charges, and officers continue to investigate the case. 
• From the Wings: Elma students perform The Emperor's New Clothes (thedailyworld.com) — Stevens Elementary in Aberdeen will host Missoula Children's Theatre the week of November 2, giving local students a chance to perform The Tortoise and the Hare. After a successful residency at Elma Elementary, nearly 50 kids participated there, and Aberdeen families can expect a similar weeklong workshop culminating in community performances.
