'Sleazy Puns' Blocks Highway In Eastern Washington

It's unclear what a "sleazy pun" is, but one was blocking I-82 near Yakima on Thursday, according to WSDOT.

YAKIMA, WA - Anyone whose has auto-correct on their phone can tell you what a ducking pain in the ask it can be. On Thursday, the Washington State Department of Transportation found that out when auto-correct ducked up one of its tweets.

Around 11 a.m. Thursday, a cement truck rolled over along I-82 in the southbound lanes. The crash ended up blocking all the southbound lanes. So, as usual, WSDOT wrote up a tweet to warn drivers to expect delays in the area.

Instead of writing the crash "has all lanes blocked," auto-correct changed it to the much stranger "has the sleazy puns lanes blocked."

"We meant to say 'all lanes blocked,'" WSDOT tweeted moments later.

But many people noticed the error and had their own responses.

"Good thing, sleazy puns should be blocked," Spokane resident Tammy Everts wrote in response to WSDOT.
