Five city council seats are up for election in Mercer Island. In Bellevue, four city council districts are in play, including a race to fill Mayor John Chelminiak's former seat. Four council seats are also up for election in Kirkland, Redmond, Renton, and Woodinville. Lake Forest Park, Sammamish, and Shoreline will each decide three council races. Residents in Redmond, Renton, and Lake Forest Park will also elect mayors.

A bond measure in Shoreline would allow the city to build a new aquatic center, and a bond measure in Renton would provide funding to build a new elementary school and pay for district-wide safety improvements. Both measures had strong support in early results.

With seven city council seats up for grabs in Seattle, and just three incumbents in the running, the election promises to be a transformative moment for the city, regardless of the outcome. Ballot counts are updated daily by the Secretary of State's Office, and percentages are likely to change in the week ahead. Tuesday's results did not include ballots postmarked or left in dropboxes Tuesday.
