The Second Half Of Your Property Taxes Are Due October 31

County officials are reminding property owners they have until October 31st to pay the rest of the year's property taxes.

County officials are reminding homeowners that the second half of their yearly property tax payments are due Thursday, October 31. After that date, the county will add interest charges and penalties to the tax bill. There are a few ways to pay in King and Pierce Counties.

KING COUNTY

  • Property owners can use the eCommerce system to pay online using a credit card, debit card or electronic check.
  • Taxpayers sending physical payments need to have them in the mailbox and postmarked by October 31, with the property tax account number written on the check or money order.
  • There are two places to pay in-person: at King County Community Service Centers or at the King County Administration Building (500 Fourth Avenue) in downtown Seattle.

PIERCE COUNTY

  • Taxpayers can pay the balance online via a third-party vendor, but there is a fee involved for both card payments and e-check payments.
  • Physical checks, postmarked by October 31, can be mailed to Pierce County Finance (P.O. Box 11621, Tacoma, WA 98411).
  • Checks can also be taken in person to the Treasurer's Office at 2401 South 35th Street in Tacoma.
