Wrong-Way Crash On SR 18 Leaves 3 Injured
A 23-year-old Puyallup man was traveling the wrong way on westbound SR 18 early Monday morning and struck three other vehicles.

AUBURN, WA - A collision near the intersection of SR 18 and SR 164 early Monday morning left three people injured and involved four vehicles. The driver was a 23-year-old Puyallup man who was traveling the wrong way on westbound SR 18 and struck three other vehicles. Washington State Patrol reported that drugs or alcohol were involved in the wreck.
Trooper Rick Johnson said the crash was caused by a maroon Subaru traveling the wrong way. SR 18 was closed for five hours with traffic rerouted to SR 164 as police investigated a vehicular assault. Those injured in the crash were transported to local hospitals.
The collision remains under investigation and no charges have yet been filed. Eastbound SR 18 closed with traffic diverted off at SR 164 for a Vehicular Assault investigation.
