• Missing hiker's body recovered from Mount Pugh (yakimaherald.com) — Anacortes readers may recall a local dentist who died on Mount Pugh in 2022; now another hiker has been found dead on the same peak. Snohomish County rescuers recovered the body of a 34-year-old Bothell man after a multi-day search using helicopters and mountain rescue volunteers, underscoring the mountain’s challenging and sometimes deadly terrain.
