2 Arrested, 2 Sought In Bellevue Burglary Investigation

Police arrested two men and are searching for two more believed to be involved in several burglaries in Bellevue and King County.

BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue detectives have arrested two men and are searching for two more suspects who police believe are part of a prolific burglary ring. In a news release Thursday, the police department said the four-man crew was responsible for multiple burglars in Bellevue and around King County.

Last week, detectives learned the crew was operating in the Somerset area. Police said they spotted three men after they burglarized a home, then followed them to Fred Meyer where officers arrested two suspects, Dajohntae Richard, 21, and Timothy Miller, 22, but the third man escaped. Investigators said a loaded handgun was found during a search of the vehicle.

"The hammer was cocked, and there was a live round chambered in the barrel," said Captain Shelby Shearer. "We are very concerned these individuals will escalate the violence if confronted, and we need to get them off the streets."

"None of these suspects live in Bellevue," Shearer said. "Instead, these violent career criminals purposefully traveled to Bellevue on multiple occasions within the last month to commit crimes and then left the area."

Anyone with information on the outstanding burglary suspects can submit a tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound by calling 1-800-222-8477, and there is a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest.
