• Chinese Dessert Chain Makkee Opens in Former Sugar n Flakes Space in Downtown Bellevue (downtownbellevue.com) — A new Chinese dessert shop, Makkee Dessert, is soft-opening on Main Street in downtown Bellevue, taking over the former Sugar n Flakes space and bringing its first Washington location to the neighborhood. Residents can sample Asian-style dessert soups and classic sweets during limited daytime hours through September 10, with a full menu of jellies, beans, fruit, and creamy milk-based treats to follow.
   

• Bungie Is 'Exploring' Subleasing Parts Of Its Massive 210,984 Sq. Ft. Studio After Laying Off More Than 600 People In Just Three Years (kotaku.com) — Bungie is considering subleasing large portions of its expansive Bellevue headquarters after several years of layoffs and a shift to a digital-first, remote-friendly workplace. The studio says it will keep a physical presence in Bellevue, but the downsizing reflects changing needs after earlier growth tied to Destiny 2's success didn't fully materialize.
