📰 News we're reading

• Bellevue expands use of drones for city's first responders (mynorthwest.com) — Bellevue is launching a one-year pilot that lets police and fire crews send drones ahead of them to 911 calls, giving real-time views of fires, rescues, and other emergencies before responders arrive. City leaders say the expanded drone program, building on earlier limited use since 2021, should improve safety, speed, and resource deployment while following state privacy rules and offering a public transparency dashboard.

• Updated: U.S. Marshals Lay Claim to Indicted OnlyFans Trafficker Nikita Tyukalo (thejournal425.com subscription) — Federal authorities have now lodged a detainer against an OnlyFans-related trafficking suspect first arrested in a June SWAT raid at a rented Bellevue mansion, signaling a sealed federal case on top of existing King County charges. Local readers should know the case now spans both county and federal courts, with the suspect held without bail while investigators continue work under seal.
