
Accidents can happen in an instant – but knowing what to do can make all the difference. This engaging three-hour, non-certification pediatric first aid class is designed for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone who cares for kids.
Participants will learn practical skills to confidently respond to common childhood injuries and emergencies.
During this hands-on class, you will learn how to:
•Recognize injuries using the five “B's” – Breathing, Bleeding, Broken Bones, Burns, and Bites
•Control bleeding and apply a wrap bandage
•Respond to mouth and tooth Injuries
•Safely manage an eye injury
•Place a child in the recovery position
•Know when it is safe to move an injured child
•Safely remove gloves and maintain hygiene
•Properly use an epinephrine pen
•Recognize and safely respond to seizures
Build the confidence and skills to act quickly and calmly when a child needs help.
Ample time for questions and discussion.
