Celebrate Earth Day in Bellevue

Come on out for a week-long celebration of Earth Day in Bellevue. The grassroots environmental stewardship group Bellevue Green & Clean is hosting seven opportunities to get out, give back, have fun and make a difference in our community. Here is the calendar of events:

• Sunday 4/16, 10 to noon - Coal Creek Natural Area - meet at the Red Cedar trailhead (off of Coal Creek Pkwy)
• Monday 4/17, 10 to noon - Lake Hills - meet at Kelsey Creek Center (148th Ave SE and Main St near Der Pet Haus)
• Tuesday 4/18, 10 to noon - Crossroads - meet at Crossroads Park (off of NE 8th St)
• Wednesday 4/19, 10 to noon - Eastgate - meet at Newport Hills Library (142nd Pl SE off of Newport Way)
• Thursday 4/20, 10 to noon - Bel-Red - meet at Republic Services (1600 127th Ave NE)
• Friday 4/21, 10 to noon - Factoria - meet at Factoria Village Center (near Applebee's off of Factoria Blvd)
• Saturday 4/22, 10 to noon - Downtown Bellevue - meet at Bellevue City Hall (parking garage off of 110th Ave NE)

The cleanup on Sunday, April 16th is co-hosted by Save Coal Creek and Overdue. The cleanup on Saturday, April 22nd is co-hosted by Overdue, in coordination with the Bellevue Downtown Association and the Downtown Bellevue Residents Association.

You can make a difference your way, either by joining one or more of the group cleanups or on your own, by using the CleanUP PopUP kits which will be available all day at the event locations.
