BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue police responded to the second crash in as many days along Coal Creek Parkway on Friday morning, where investigators say a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a school bus.

A Wednesday crash in the same area, near Forest Drive, led to two serious injuries, and police announced Friday that one driver later died from his injuries at the hospital. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in Friday's crash, and the school bus was not carrying students, police said.

A preliminary investigation found a southbound pickup truck drifted into a northbound lane and hit the school bus just before 7 a.m. Police said the truck's driver had to be extricated from the vehicle but suffered only minor injuries. The bus driver was uninjured.
