Flood Damage Assistance Hotline Opens In Pierce County
Was your business or home damaged by the recent floods? You may be eligible for federal assistance. Phone lines are open through Feb. 28.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Pierce County residents who suffered flood damage to their homes or businesses this month could be eligible for federal assistance, according to officials. To help assess the county-wide impact of recent storms, the county has launched a hotline to log all damage deports.

Phone lines will be staffed daily, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., until Feb. 28, including over the holiday weekend.

According to Pierce County officials, the information collected will help the county determine the full scope of damages before they request federal assistance. Contacting the hotline does not guarantee financial assistance and is not considered filing a formal claim.
Providing this information helps Pierce County determine possible damages when requesting assistance from the federal government. This process is not a guarantee residents will receive financial assistance and is not considered filing a claim. (2/2)
