Plans for a Stephenson Canyon dog park moving ahead in Bremerton (theolympian.com) — Bremerton is moving ahead with a new off-leash dog park in Stephenson Canyon, with construction targeted to start in spring 2027 and a $285,000 state-funded budget. City parks staff are refining plans after community feedback, while also upgrading the now-permanent Pendergast Bark Park, aiming to balance dog amenities with protection of the canyon’s creek, trails, and urban forest. 
2. KRL board says investigation shows no violations by library director (thenewstribune.com) — Kitsap Regional Library’s board says an outside investigation found no policy or law violations by Director Jason Driver, whose leadership had been questioned by staff at the Bremerton-based system. While trustees back Driver, they acknowledge communication and culture issues and promise improvements, even as the employees’ union criticizes the response as failing to address specific concerns.
3. USS Ronald Reagan is second carrier with unmanned aircraft command center (stripes.com) — The USS Ronald Reagan, homeported at Naval Station Kitsap in Bremerton, has become the Navy’s second carrier outfitted with a high-tech Unmanned Air Warfare Center to control MQ-25A Stingray refueling drones. After extensive work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, the ship is now testing this new command hub, which will eventually expand the reach of carrier-based aircraft worldwide.
