• 125-pound dog rescued after chasing coyote, falling down embankment (kiro7.com) — Brinnon firefighters helped rescue a 125-pound dog named Gidget after it tumbled 30 to 40 feet down an embankment near Quilcene while chasing a coyote. Working with Quilcene Fire Rescue and sheriff’s deputies, they used ropes and a winch system to safely hoist the dog and its owner back up, and both walked away uninjured.
