Man accused of violent robbery at Centralia dog park (chronline.com) β A man is accused of violently robbing another person of $100 at the South Gold Street dog park in Centralia, leading to his arrest Tuesday night. Prosecutors have charged the 46-year-old Centralia resident with second-degree robbery and drug possession, and a judge ordered him held without bail while a possible competency evaluation is considered.

He says the trek, done without training and supported by locals' kindness, was meant to encourage people to reconnect with their faith and community through a simple message of love.

4. Wiens, Goodman log season-low scores in W.F. West's win at Highland (thurstonchronicle.com) β Centralia golf fans will see familiar rivals soon, as W.F. West's strong season continues after a tri-match win over Black Hills and Aberdeen at Highland Golf Course. The Bearcats, who previously faced Centralia and Shelton at Riverside, will wrap up their regular season hosting Tumwater and Aberdeen, while Black Hills closes against Centralia and Shelton.

Providence Health & Services $17M Wage and Hour Settlement (claimdepot.com) β Hourly workers at Providence Centralia Hospital and Providence Centralia Physical Therapy may be eligible for cash payments from a $17 million wage-and-hour settlement covering Washington employees from April 2022 to August 2026. Payments will be mailed automatically based on Wβ2 earnings, with at least $25 per eligible worker, unless they opt out by mid-December and after final court approval in early 2027.
