• South King Fire to host 9/11 remembrance ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11 (waterlandblog.com) — A 9/11 remembrance ceremony involving Des Moines Police Chief Ted Boe will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, at South King Fire Station 64 in Federal Way. Local residents are invited to join firefighters, police, and community leaders in honoring first responders and others who died in the 2001 attacks.
