• Police release video of Edgewood suspects accused of racial slur on WSDOT sign (tri-cityherald.com) — Edgewood police are asking residents for tips after three people allegedly reprogrammed a WSDOT reader board on Meridian Avenue with a racial slur earlier this month. Investigators have distant video of three suspected juveniles and warn that tampering with such signs can be charged as felony computer trespass. Anyone with information is urged to contact Edgewood Police. 
• 124-year-old Pierce County landmark is being moved. Construction has started (thenewstribune.com) — Edgewood is relocating its historic 124-year-old Edgewood-Nyholm windmill from across Meridian Avenue to a new plaza next to City Hall, with work already underway on the foundation. Funded partly by a state grant, the move aims to improve parking, student access, and community use, with plans for a buy-a-brick plaza and potential wind-powered lighting.
