2018 WA Midterm Election: Edmonds, SnoCo Results

EDMONDS, WA - Snohomish County has escaped much of the hoopla surrounding the 2018 midterm election. There are no seriously contested Congressional races, and the sole county-wide race for prosecutor is uncontested.
But there are still several important races on the ballot, and we'll bring you the latest results when polls close Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
Voters in Snohomish County will, of course, be voting on the big four statewide initiatives on gun control, police training, a carbon tax, and a soda tax ban. You can find coverage on those initiatives here.

Snohomish County voters are also being asked to approve a sales tax increase. Proposition 1 would increase taxes 10 cents for every $100 to fund emergency communications infrastructure.

Voter turnout was slightly lower in Snohomish County than in neighboring counties. As of Monday at 11 a.m., turnout was just under 40 percent. In King County, turnout was nearing 50 percent Monday morning, and about 43 percent in Pierce County.
