• One dead after man fails to stop at light, crashes into multiple cars, Federal Way PD says (kiro7.com) — A serious crash at South 356th Street and Pacific Highway South in Federal Way left one driver dead and two people seriously injured after a 69-year-old truck driver allegedly ran a red light. Federal Way police say the driver appeared impaired and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, with the Major Accident Investigation Team now handling the case.
   

• As Wild Waves closes for good, city weighs new amendments to redevelopment (king5.com) — Wild Waves’ final day in Federal Way means the city is now weighing an amendment that would let future redevelopment of the site include manufacturing, not just a massive warehouse. Residents can email comments to the planning department by Nov. 13 as officials finalize the environmental determination, while longtime parkgoers share memories and hopes that a buyer might still preserve the beloved attraction.
