• Gig Harbor High School athletic director removed after less than one month (thenewstribune.com) — Gig Harbor High School's athletic director position is unexpectedly open again after the recently hired director, Erick Counts, was removed from the role less than a month into the job, though he remains a part-time teacher. The district has reposted the position and declined to explain the change, amid ongoing turnover and past controversy within Gig Harbor's athletics department leadership.
